Baby’s Story

Baby's tattoo, number 94“Baby” is a puppy mill survivor who lived through 8 years of abuse in order to become a “national spokesdog” to raise awareness about cruelty in the dog breeding industry.

Like all the breeding dogs, Baby was tattooed with a number and had her vocal cords cut so the owners wouldn’t have to listen to her cries to be let out of her cage. Her leg was amputated after her rescue due to the abuse she suffered. On the day Baby was scheduled to be killed – because she had gotten too old to breed – she was rescued by a passing stranger who was dubbed the “Drive-by Angel.”

Eventually Baby found a loving forever home and began a cross country tour to put focus on the cruelty of the pet industry.

Baby's Forever home

If pets were adopted from shelters rather than bought from pet stores, breeders, or the Internet, puppy and kitten mills would lose their customers and close down.  The breeding dogs and cats would finally be freed from years of suffering.

Baby’s book, CD, plush toy, t-shirt, wristband and tattoos are on sale at the Support Us page.

Proceeds from these items are used
to support our campaign to end puppy mills
and also fund animal groups whose work we admire.

Do all (100%) the proceeds from the book, toy and cd go towards ending abuse and shutting down puppy milss. If not, what is the proportion.
    Thanks

All of our proceeds go toward our effort to end animal cruelty, whether it be puppy mills or any industry where animals are abused. We spend many times more than we take in from the sale of these items and cover the difference out of our own pockets. It’s never been our philosophy to stop fighting for an end to animal cruelty simply because we don’t have the funds like large groups do. We regularly spend our own money on everything from office supplies to the design of this site, so rest assured that the proceeds from any item bought – whether the Book, CD or Baby plush toy go right back to the animals.
